The Honourable Dawn J. Smith was appointed as Attorney General of the Territory in October 2020. She is the principal legal advisor to the Government of the Virgin Islands, and a Member of Cabinet. She was previously General Counsel at the Financial Services Commission from 2013 to 2020, and Acting Permanent Secretary at the Premier’s Office from 2017 to 2019. Prior to her career in government, she was an attorney firms in the BVI. She is a member of Arbitral Women and CIArb.
