Justice Dr. Anthony D.J. Gafoor is the Chair of the Tax Appeal Court of Trinidad and Tobago (Superior Court of Record). He is the Chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for the Caribbean Region and the Trinidad and Tobago Chapter. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. In addition, he is a Certified Mediator in Family and Civil Matters, Mediation Trainer and a Member of the Ciarb Faculty. He is a frequent speaker at regional and international conferences and is co-author of a forthcoming publication on the Caribbean Court of Justice as well as several other articles on arbitration, mediation and statutory adjudication. He is the first in the world to be awarded the Executive Certificate in Conflict Resolution, University of Windsor and the second in the Caribbean to be awarded the Ciarb Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration. He is a panelist on several regional and international bodies pertaining to international commercial arbitration and mediation.
