Toulope Adermemi

Tolulope Aderemi is a Partner at the law firm of Perchstone and Graeys LP, where he leads the Energy Practice Group and serves as Co-Head of the Dispute Resolution Practice. He is a John Taylor scholar from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, with a postgraduate degree in Oil and Gas, a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.B. from the University of Ibadan. Tolulope is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (Nigerian Branch) and has extensive experience in both Domestic and International Arbitration.

With nearly two decades of experience, Tolulope has successfully managed and provided counsel on intricate cross-border trade disputes and transactions, particularly within the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has dedicated significant professional efforts to advising the Nigerian government on complex oil & gas transactions and the power sector as well as foreign investors. Tolulope plays a crucial role in offering legal and regulatory guidance to foreign investors entering the Nigerian market. In his commitment to enhancing expertise in international arbitration, he authored the book “International Arbitration Law and Practice: The Practitioner’s Perspective” in 2020.

Tolulope currently heads the London practice of the Firm. He also serves as the Chairman of the International Law Association, Arbitration Committee, the Nigerian representative at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Arbitration Commission in Paris, Chairman of the Training Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Section on Business Law (SBL), Member of the National Executive Working Committee of the NBA, and Member of the IBA, among other roles. Additionally, Tolulope sits on several boards of companies.
