Sue practised at the Bar in London before co-founding the London Office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP the world’s pre-eminent litigation-only law firm, where she was co-managing partner for 12 years. Sue  returned to the Bar as a member of Brick Court in 2020, from where she has continued to practise as a KC, sit as an arbitrator and regularly mediate large commercial disputes. She has sat at a Deputy High Court Judge in England, and conducts arbitrations under all the major institutional rules, including being a member of the BVI IAC panel (as well as the LCIA, ICC, SIAAC and HKIAC panels). She is a member of both the BVI and Cayman Bars, and has appeared in many cases at all levels in the BVI, including the Privy Council.
